August 2011 sets new standards in passive pre-controllers with the introduction of 2 new models using  transformer based designs and silver/gold wiring with ultra high quality silver RCA sockets.

 

Both models compliment the new Mono block and stereo power amplifiers now on permanent demonstration made from African Wenge hardwood.

 

Also this month sees the introduction of the new sub-woofer design using a very highly specified 15" driver in a ported design which gives a new dimension to movie soundtracks especially in gun shots and explosions. The importance of sub-woofer implementation and design is often overlooked and for movie audio reproduction is probable the most important element in realistic sound reproduction within a home cinema environment.

 

January 2011 sees the introduction of the new Elixir Mk2 using the a Lowther unit in open baffle configuration with a pair of 12" bass units. At 130cm tall and 55Kg each made from African Padouk hardwood, a birch ply baffle and crocodile print hide, these loudspeakers are the ultimate in 3 dimensional soundstage and imagery.

 

The new Robson Elixir has a sensitivity of around 91dB and able to be driven via  a single power amp source unlike other open baffle designs which require multiple amplifiers and complex electronic cross-over systems.

January also sees the introduction of the new Media server which incorporates a new solid state system drive, a 2Tb media drive, reference internal DAC with true balanced out and blu ray as standard. This is the ultimate 1 box solution with active speakers ( 2011 will see the introduction of active Burlington loudspeakers with the same amplifier design as the Robson Ref Monoblocks ).

Also on permanent demonstration is the new stereo power amplifier priced at £3000.00 which is also  heavily modified and will outclass many much more expensive units.
